      The article offers the author's insights on the efforts of Strategic Actions for a Just Economy (SAJE) to fight for spatial justice in Los Angeles, California. The author asserts that SAJE shared the belief that the most oppressed should drive change. She notes that SAJE worked on concerns on lead poisoning and asthma and established tenant unions and a community land trust. She mentions in absence of various establishments in South Central Los Angeles including banks, grocery stores, and parks.
