- Abstract:
The article discusses the health effects of Agent Orange on Vietnamese people exposed to the herbicide during the Vietnam War. The author notes that the U.S. Agent Orange Act compensates American veterans, but the U.S. government will not cover health costs for Vietnamese victims. 2,3,7,8-tetrachlorodibenzo-p-dioxin may cause cancer and birth deformities. Dang Than Nhut, co-chair of the Vietnam Association for Victims of Agent Orange (VAVA), is interviewed.
