    • Abstract:
The article investigates the impact of gender on the recognition, management, and outcomes of coronary artery disease (CAD) in women. According to the authors, the reason for gender differences in treating CAD is the perception that women are at lower risk for the disease than men. Women and men experienced long-term prognosis after undergoing percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty. The authors also note that women need health information in order to identify changes in their bodies to seek treatment.
