- Abstract:
The article reports on the intensive treatment of former U.S. President Dwight David Eisenhower at Walter Reed Army Hospital in Washington D.C. after he suffered heart attacks. It states that the first incident occurred in 1955, but his physicians declined the use of surgical treatment, instead they advised him to take anti-clotting drugs and to engage in exercise activities. However, he still experienced a stroke in 1957, another one in 1965 and successive coronary failure in 1968.
