    • Abstract:
The article reports on the results of the September 1968 election in Bermuda Islands. It states that the United Bermuda Party (UBP) led by Henry Tucker has won because of its effort to expand the tourism and prosperity of the island and to fight against racism. It notes that UBP's 30 winning candidates have included seven African Americans. Further, it asserts that the opposition Progressive Labor Party (PLP) has aimed at racism as it campaigns on a platform of independence from the whites.
