- Abstract:
The article offers information on the shortage of newsprint in the U.S. in 1973. "The Wall Street Journal" revealed to readers that it was cutting editorial, news and advertising space and limiting on newsstand copies. In addition, dailies and weeklies with no big standing orders from suppliers, no capacity to stockpile big quantities of newsprint and no private mills were taking more drastic steps. The "Rapid City Journal" has already halted publishing Saturday editions to economize dwindling paper supplies.
