      The article offers information on a poll conducted by the periodical "Time" in order to know the opinion of the Americans on how much diversity really exists among the nation's suburbs and suburbanites. The poll was conducted by Louis Harris Associates in 100 towns and four representative communities. The findings showed income levels, growth rate of communities, attitudes on child rearing, sex, politics, drugs and other problems of suburban life. Four basic community types was found.
