      The article presents the study of the Urban Detroit Area by Constantinos A. Doxiadis, sponsored by Detroit Edison Co. The five point remedy recommended includes rebuilding of Downtown Detroit, building its twin city near Port Huron, Michigan and around ten satellite cities encircling the twin cities, provision for green belts and recreational areas and a high speed automated transit system between the cities. It reports on the resistance from the local governments of the Urban Detroit Area.
