- Abstract:
The article focuses on the views of students who are children of divorce and are members of a group called Divorce Kids Group in Lexington, Massachusetts regarding their experiences of their parents' divorce. It states that children who suffered from the effect of divorce feel like they are left out and does not belong in their own culture. It discusses the conversation among 16 students called the support group at the Bridge Elementary School on whether a film regarding divorce should be shown to children whose parents are not divorced. One student says that those children will not listen and will just assert that their parents are not divorced, and will go on teasing divorce children. School counselor Frank Nelligan notes that the group showed the importance of the school involvement.
