      The article provides a discussion on the variety of ways in which past and present Muslims have understood the relationship of their faith to culture. It is mentioned that almost 90 percent of the Muslims in the world are Sunni Muslims, ten percent are Shiite Muslims, and the remaining percentage are neither. It also stated that most of the culturally secularized Muslims live in Turkey, the former Soviet Asian republics, and some parts of Africa.
