      The article discusses several research studies from across the globe that were conducted in an effort to determine whether acetaminophen or ibuprofen is more effective in reducing fever in children younger that 18 years of age. A discussion of common misconceptions which focus on the health related dangers of fever is presented. Possible side effects that have been linked to acetaminophen and ibuprofen use in children younger that 18 years of age are discussed.
