      The article examines the issues covering the enforcement of arbitral awards by national courts in various countries within the Sub-Sahara region in Africa. It falls within the general field of research into the relationship between arbitration and national courts wherein the attitudes of various national courts and national laws to arbitration are examined. It covers 53 states within the African continent which 48 of these states are situated to the south of the Sahara desert.
