The article discusses the choices of Ukraine with respect to possible integration with Russia. Evidence shows that Russia has been carrying out its own agenda to integrate Ukraine into its region such as the enshrinement of Ukraine's non-block status and rejection of membership in the North Atlantic Treaty Organization and the control of the Ukrainian gas sector by Gazprom. A number of events also show that Ukraine is moving towards passive integration with Russia. Ukraine, meanwhile, proposes its views of how integration with Russia should take place.
