An interview with John Vaillant, author of the book "The Tiger," is presented. He describes how he recreated the scenes in Siberia, where an Amur tiger turned into a man-eater. He explains his decision to leave out himself as a character in the book. He comments on whether the book's perspective say more about the tiger or about how Russians tend to look at nature.
