      In this article the author discusses secularism in India. The central focus of the article is on the fact that secularism was once a tenet of the Indian constitution but that is now in danger. A number of issues are examined including separation of religion and state in India, religious multiculturalism in the public sphere, and the isolation of Muslim and Christian communities in India.
