      The article discusses if the expansion of the Group of Eight finance ministers to the Group of 20 (G20) strengthens or dilutes the country of Canada's influence. The idea that without the G20, many countries would be left out of negotiations among heavyweights such as the U.S., China, and Germany, is one reason that the G20 configuration benefits Canada is explored.
