- Abstract:
The article offers news briefs from the International Conference on Biocomposites, held May 2-4, 2010, in Toronto, Ontario. Researcher Rakesh Gupta said that scrap ABS can produce stronger wood-plastic composites than polyolefins. Another researcher Hiroyuki Yano said that cellulose nanofibers are transparent when wetted out in a polymer, making them fit to reinforced transparent sheet. Composites based on wood fiber and polypropylene have been developed by GreenCore Composites Inc.
