    • Abstract:
The article discusses a report in the May 14, 2010 issue of "Cell" investigating the fear response called fight-or-flight in mice. According to researchers, animals have a genetic predisposition that enables them to recognize predators. An overview of the team's findings is presented, which includes the role of major urinary protein (MUP) in the behavior of the mice and what happens when a male mouse smells another male's MUPs.
