    • Abstract:
The article discusses the repercussions of modern liberalism on the institutional Church at present. The church today has a growing list of detractors, with modern liberalism intending to discredit the present pope and also abolish the Catholic Church at the same time. The author believes that the dominant impulse of the orthodox Catholic is to maintain solidarity with the pope when faced with this crisis. He suggests that the anti-Catholic strategy is to identify Pope Benedict as the guilty party due to his conservative stance on church issues.
