      The article presents customer relationship management tips for optical shops. It notes that the functional side of dispensing is often the least memorable part of an optical visit and the functional efficiency of products are not the main determinants of patient loyalty and satisfaction. To improve customer relations, the author suggests mingling with guests or patients during clinic lulls and organizing special optic events. Tips for planning and executing a successful optical event are also provided.
