- Abstract:
The article presents a case study which examines the psychosocial complexities among pregnant and parenting teens. It considers that the history of psychiatric disorder, sexual abuse, and substance abuse could be the causes of unintended pregnancy. The social support from the father of the baby has been identified as a factor that could help reduce depression to the adolescent mother. Moreover, a case is presented wherein a 15-year-old pregnant teen had undergone intensive psychiatric care.
