    • Abstract:
The article presents comments from William H. Flory, Vice President of Marketing Services at Harris Trust and Savings Bank, and Gerald Weiss, Senior Vice President of Corporate Planning and Development at Chase Manhattan Bank. The two discuss four issues that concern bank marketing. Flory describes the four biggest issues of bank marketing as the legal constraints, changes in the delivery of services, the justification of the amount of money spent on advertising, and the search for cheaper sales communications. Weiss agrees with Flory concerning regulation, but mentions circumstances that arise from banking, the high level of integration with clients, and asset/liability management.
