In this article the author discusses the culture of begging in Africa. She cites an experience when arriving at the airport in Accra, Ghana, wherein an immigration officer asks for an ordinary biscuit from her. She notes that African leaders should not beg from foreign companies to exploit African soil for import and trade of diamonds. She says that begging is not a positive activity and should not be encouraged.
