- Abstract:
The article focuses on the significance of the network interface in helping both human and machine understand each other. It states that most interfaces are commonly associated with computing, but it is applicable to practically any human-machine activity. It suggests that an efficiently designed and implemented interface simplifies and automates control of otherwise complex functions. It also notes that such device allows people to operate on things that they can not otherwise deal with and peer into regions where they could not otherwise see.
