    • Abstract:
The article presents an exploration into the church and state aspects of Switzerland and its political dynamics as a federal confederation. Introductory details are given outlining the influence and centrality of the federal Constitution of 2000 within the Swiss sense of national and cultural identity. The interaction between the nations' federalized social pluralism and religious traditionalism is discussed as it manifests differently in the institutional structures of law within each of the nation's 26 cantons.
