The article discusses nuclear power technology in the U.S. Topics include an overview of the construction of the first nuclear power plants in the U.S. in over 30 years, called light water reactors. Also discussed is the exploration of safer, more efficient nuclear technologies by various countries including China, called Generation IV reactors, and an overview of the efficiency of a Generation IV reactor called the high temperature reactor pebble bed module (HTR-PM), used in China.
