    • Abstract:
The article discusses research on climate change that illustrates its significant and disproportionate effect on human health among the world's poorest and most vulnerable populations. World Health Organization (WHO) mortality estimates are given that are linked to climate-related crop failure, malnutrition, flooding, diarrhea, and malaria. Such conditions in WHO's Southeast Asia region are highlighted. The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) is cited regarding its expectations of adverse effects from climate change in Asian economies that depend on farming and natural resources.
