      The article presents a speech by Eddie Cass, president of the Folklore Society, delivered to the society on April 24, 2009 in which he discusses the collection of folk drama by scholars Thomas Fairman Ordish, James Madison Carpenter and Alex Helm, Ordish's membership in the London Topographical Society and the Folklore Society and Ordish's views regarding how folk drama may have influenced Elizabethan theater.
