Actions Needed to Ensure Value for Service Contracts.

The article offers information on the research conducted by the U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO) which examines the value of services contracts of the Department of Defense (DOD). GAO examines challenges faced by DOD in following sound contract and contracting management practices and recent actions DOD has taken to improve its management of service contracting. Although the efforts of DOD to improve its service acquisitions, the study still puts DOD on high risk contract management.
