The article presents a study supported by the Ontario Library Association of Canada which focused on what makes an exemplary school library. The research showed how school libraries can be a centerpiece of the school and a place of activity and learning by having a vision of the library as a classroom. It says that researchers discovered exemplary libraries where teacher librarians collaborated with other teachers and the community to support student learning. It mentions that the exemplary library has a program that includes shared teaching and an integrated curriculum. It points out that the key to becoming an exemplary library depends on administrative support and board-level policies. A full copy of the research can be found at www.accessola.com.
