Environmental Compliance in a Down Economy.

The article lists ways how environmental managers can bridge the gap between environmental stewardship and budget constraints, given the increasing environmental regulations. The authors suggest to prioritize efforts by making compliance part of the business model, by focusing on compliance and by staying current with environmental regulations. They also encourage companies to maintain good relationship with the environmental agency, provide training and auditing for sustainability and to develop Environmental Management System (EMS) program.
