    • Abstract:
Chapter 4 of the book "A Question of Trust" is presented. It discusses lying as the potential destroyer of trust. However, it says trust is not destroyed if there is no intent of harmfulness associated with the lie. The authors believe that in many organizations, there is an inverse relationship between truth-telling and career advancement. The authors also observes that malpractice in public relations (PR) and among lawyers, journalists and Internet also contribute to creating mistrust.
