    • Abstract:
Some unusual catlinite artifacts from northeastern Wisconsin, and one from Mississippi, are described. They are believed to be protohistoric or historic; and although their origins are mysterious, there is a possibility that they represent an exchange of ideas between Mississippian and Oneota cultures.
