    • Abstract:
The article presents information on management fee cuts by private equity and real estate fund investors. According to a survey released in October 2009 by Preqin, the largest private equity firms have cut their average management fees to 1.65% for funds being raised in 2009 from 1.991% in 2008. It is stated that smaller funds are also lowering their fees. Hale Boggs of the San Francisco office of Manatt, Phelps & Phillips LLP, says venture capital firms are also feeling pressure to trim fees.
