This article describes the suicidal thoughts that Iranian-Canadian journalist Maziar Bahari had while imprisoned in a jail in Tehran, Iran. Bahari was captured while on assignment for "Newsweek" in Iran. During his nearly five months of captivity, he constantly argued with himself about the benefits of suicide or letting his captors kill him.
