DNA testing which is being conducted by Jean Ristano of North Carolina State University on preserved leaves from blighted plants, in an effort to discover the disease which killed two year's worth of crops; Hopes to use this knowledge to combat the worldwide resurgence of the blight, especially in less-developed countries.
