    • Abstract:
The article comments on a study by R. Prymula et al published in the October 17, 2009 issue of the "Lancet" on the efficacy of Tylenol or other brands of acetaminophen in reducing a child's immune response to a vaccine. Experts pointed out that the most important question in the study's findings is the clinical and public health implications of reduced antibody concentrations with use of acetaminophen. They also noted that the use of acetaminophen to prevent fever and pain in children after vaccine injections is a logical thing to do.
