      The article reports that the 10th annual consumer survey of the Credit Union National Association (CUNA) has shown that consumers in the U.S. will be less restrained in spending for the holiday season in 2009. A reduction in holiday spending is being planned by 43% of respondents as compared to 55% in 2008. Bill Hampel, CUNA Chief Economist, states that credit unions could see in increase in the use of their credit cards.
