The article advises companies about fraud on the Internet. Companies that are partnering are told to verify the identities of the firms or people they are dealing with. Companies that are purchasing online advertising or marketing services should also be aware that advertising effectiveness measures could be inaccurate. The advantage of delaying payments to advertisers or marketers is mentioned. Several fraudulent schemes are defined such as the Click Fakers, Banner Fraud, Web-Search Redirectors, and Cookie Stuffers.
