      In this article, the author discusses the efforts made by him in guiding student-led research. He says that he integrated content area information, student-led research and literacy practices to actively engage students in social studies curriculum. He says that he focused on acquiring books which provided fact based information in a format easily accessible to students. He opines that teachers should take lead when introducing inquiry method of teaching to develop necessary skills in students.
