This article presents a personal narrativ which explores the author's experience of travelling to the world's natural landscapes and seeing the surface of the earth from the views of Alaska's Brooks Range, while crossing the Drake Passage from the Falkland Islands to South Georgia, and from the Yangtze River through the Wushan Mountains, which is the site of the Three Gorges Dam.
