- Abstract:
The article presents a study on mitigation in the bycatch of marine species in Pamlico Sound, North Carolina. It mentions that bycatch of marine species in fishing rig is an essential global conservation issue. Hence, a set of management advances is needed to deal with the issue such as the modification of fishing patterns in areas where chances of bycatch is prevalent. A predator-prey model was used to examine interactions among marine species and fall large-mesh gill net fishery in the area.
