The article focuses on the occasional challenges in publishing for children and young adults with the American Library Association's (ALA) BannedBooks Week in the U.S. on September 26, 2009 to October 3, 2009. According to the article, the library collections are challenged by parents and community members who disapprove to a picture or a word. It is stated that librarians deal with the challenges through their collection development policies. It mentions that another challenge is the banning of Internet sites since there are so much questionable material on the Internet.
