      The author comments on the dismissal of complaints against Democratic Senators Kent Conrad and Chris Dodd for receiving mortgage rates or services that were not commonly available to the public. The failure of the six senators on the U.S. Senate ethics panel to release pertinent documents to be reviewed is criticized. The author also describes how Conrad and Dodd managed to evade efforts by the ethics panel to provide copies of mortgage documents.
