Information about the presentation by Diane Kresh, director of the Public Service Collections of the Library of Congress, discussed during the 68th International Federation of Library Associations (IFLA) Council and General Conference held on August 18 to 24, 2002 in Glasgow, Scotland is presented. Kresh talked about the challenges encountered by the agency in implementing global information networks, as well as the benefits derived in globalization.
