      The article discusses the alternative conception of desire as production and positivity in the notion of musical literacy. It primarily examines the concept of desire and desiring in relation to music education, based on the poststructural understandings of language and subjectivity through feminisms and affirmative postmodernism. Moreover, the author delves into the relationship of music literacy and subjectivity. Furthermore, it contends on the idea that desire as productive positivity defies potential to link music education within and outside of the educational settings.
