      Chapter 47 of the book "Advanced Therapy in Hypertension & Vascular Disease" is presented. It discusses the Hypertension, Elevated Liver Enzymes and Low Platelets (HELLP) syndrome, a variant presentation of severe preeclampsia. It was observed that two-thirds of HELLP syndrome cases are diagnosed antepartum while other patients are identified postpartum. Information on pathophysiology, presentation, evaluation and management of the syndrome is offered.
