    • Abstract:
The author talks about the reduction in the budget of the Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA). The author stresses the importance of the lobbying efforts of the MPAA to the viability of the six major studios funding the organization. According to the author, even though the budget of the MPAA has been reduced by 20 million dollars, it still remains an important industry voice. The two legislative gains that prove the association's relevance, according to MPAA chairman Dan Glickman, are noted.
