- Abstract:
This article reports that Bermuda Prime Minister Ewart Brown is facing scrutiny over his decision to host four Uighurs released from U.S. military detention facility in Guantanamo Bay. Brown survived a vote of no-confidence after a 14-hour parliamentary debate. Critics of Brown's decision to accept the four Uighurs who are suspected of terrorist acts say that he is trying to curry favor from U.S. President Barack Obama. Great Britain, which guarantees the security of Bermuda, had not been consulted by Brown before deciding to accept the Uighurs men.
