      The article explores the technology use by Mexican immigrants in the U.S. to maintain emotional closeness to Mexico. The authors have presented four different manifestations of their closeness, which include hometown websites, video conferencing, call forwarding services and online TV. Their analysis was based on the different dimensions and affordances these services provide. They determined that the value of these dimensions to envision how new technologies support social presence and connectedness.
